I’m currently 1/4 into the second round of editing, which I hope to finish within a couple of weeks. After the third round, I’ll begin laying out the book and getting it ready for printing and publishing!
Making a book sure is a weird process the first time through. Thank you all for your continued support and patience.
In a week or slightly more, champion Editor Heather will be finished going through the manuscript and making her comments & editing suggestions. I don’t know whether they’ll be extensive (as, of course, probably every writer expects) (and I do expect), but Heather said, “I’ll save my comments for when I package things up for you, but I certainly am enjoying the read.” So that sounds promising, doesn’t it?
I’ll start incorporating the edits as soon as I have them, and you’ll hear from me again when I’m at the next stage. By then I’ll have a solid idea of when the words will hit the streets.
Thank you all again for your support, patience, and understanding!
Tonight I emailed the first chapter of Adventures with the Mojave Phone Booth to the Kickstarter backers whose reward levels included it.
If you should have received the chapter and have not, please check to see whether it might have been routed to your spam or junk mailbox. If it’s not there, please contact me and I’ll get it to you via another method.
To all of you backers, once again: thank you!
